PsychLab.IO is a platform for creating, hosting, and running psychological experiments with no code, no expensive software, no gatekeeping.
Our mission
Psychology research has a tooling problem. The software that runs behavioural experiments is expensive, hard to use, and often locked behind institutional licences. Students on tight budgets, independent researchers, and practitioners in under-resourced settings simply can't access it.
We built PsychLab.IO to change that. The platform gives anyone, from a first-year undergraduate to a tenured professor, a drag-and-drop experiment builder, live response dashboards, and clean data exports. No installation. No credit card to get started. No coding required.
We're in early beta, which means the product is still growing and the community is small. That also means your feedback shapes what we build next. If something is missing or broken, we want to hear about it!

Accessible by default
Rigorous research shouldn't require a grant, a lab, or a computer science degree. We build for the student running a thesis and the professor running a trial.
Privacy first
Participant data is anonymized at collection, encrypted at rest, and never sold. Ethics compliance isn't a checkbox for us, it's a design constraint.
Science over vanity metrics
We build tools that produce trustworthy data, not just pretty dashboards. If a feature doesn't make your research better, it doesn't ship.
Open to everyone
Researchers at well-funded institutions have had powerful tools for decades. We think everyone else deserves the same. The free plan is free forever, not a trial.
